Serenata Concertante was originally conceived to be paired alongside the Mendelssohn Double Concerto, hence its somewhat ‘classical’ character and form. A fairly relaxed Sonata Allegro is followed by a proper ‘Mozartian’ ‘hunting’ Rondo.

I am indebted to the conductor Paul Mann for helping to edit these scores so beautifully.
