Notes

Each morning Ian McMillan writes a short poem after his early stroll around his village near Barnsley and posts it on Twitter. These three short songs set words from his ‘Early Stroll’ tweets written during the 2020 UK lockdown. This set of songs was commissioned by Helen Charlston as part of her ‘Isolation Songbook’ and first performed by Helen Charlston, Michael Craddock and Alexander Soares. They have been recorded for Delphian Records, released in October 2020.

More information about the Isolation Songbook can be found here.
