is death a transitional state? a designation for another reality? or just a game?

surviving memories, while spaces between yesterday and tomorrow: Bianca!

The initial version of the First String Quartet jeu de mort was written in Lucerne in 1986 in conjunction with the death of an extraordinary person named Bianca. It was thoroughly revised and made public in 2015. Ideally, the music should be performed in a church, or a similar space having a long natural reverberation. Some discrete live electronics with a cathedral quality reverberation may also be employed in the performance.
