Five Mobiles after Alexander Calder was written in the summer of 2000 and was commissioned by De Suite Muziek Week in Amsterdam for Trio Chiaroscuro who gave the first performance on 8th November 2000 at de Ijsbreker. The work consists of five short miniatures which take the mobiles of the American artist Alexander Calder as starting points.
