Notes

Spectra Fractalis, is inspired by the apparent paradox of the statism and dynamism of Martín Chirino’s sculpture Herramienta poética e inútil, which oscillates very lightly and subtly in its enclave at Castillo de La Luz. The form of the work and its development take as guide the very structure of the sculpture, simple and light but at the same time robust and enigmatic. The spectral model resulting from the transformation of the image into sound serves as the raw material on which the work is constructed.

First performed on 20 September, 2018 at Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain by Orquesta filarmónica de Gran Canaria, conducted by Karel Mark Chichon.
