Notes

Commissioned by the Royal Academy of Music to commemorate its bicentenary in 2020.

Eawl-leet (literally ‘Owl-Light’) is an old North Lancashire word meaning twilight or dusk. This solo nocturne evokes a melancholy restlesness through a mixture of movement and poise.
