Ahmad Shawki, in a love poem to Zahle, a town in Lebanon (my home town) said:

“…I didn’t know the feeling of hugging in love until I embraced you

and speech broke down and my eyes spoke to your eyes in the

language of love and I became drunk with the wine of your lips…” etc.
